Thang-ka serves as an important teaching tool depicting the life of the Buddha, various influential lamas, and other deities and bodhisattvas.

Divination based on her practice is said to be highly accurate and the resident monks of the monastery perform divination rituals invoking upon her powers of prophecy.

Together with Buddha eyes are representative of his ultimate knowledge and power. These eyes look in four directions to symbolize his wisdom and omniscience.

2. Treat it with respect by removing it before engaging in any intimate activities.

3. If you have an altar at home, it will be good to place the Thang-ka there for the blessing too.
